WELCOME TO MARCH 2021… 

AND WELCOME TO THE MEMBERS CLUB NEW VIBE!

We have really gotten to work over the first three months of the club, learning all about our businesses, having a general understanding of the meanings and inner workings of being in business, It’s now time to get serious.

Each month, from now on, will be dedicated to one smaller topic. This way we can dive in deep and get some invaluable advice for you all.

This month we start with arguably the most important aspect of business.

The one thing that all successful entrepreneurs have in common and will credit for their ability to rise to the top…

As you may know my degree was in psychology… literally the mind! And before that I studied  Human behaviour from both a psychological and sociological view point. I’ve also had my share of challenges throughout, which has really put my mindset to the test. I will talk about this more in this months live because I think It’s important that you know of my experiences when I’m trying to preach to you! What I’m trying to say is… Believe me… If I can work on having a strong mindset, ANYONE CAN!

I want to talk to you this month about all the random shit I do that keeps my head on straight! From the woo woo to the science.

It’s going to be a month of change for us all; A month of straight talking, no bullshit, answers.

So, let’s right now, leave our preconceptions, our egos and our stubbornness, at the door.

Do it with me… Take a deep breath!

Now let it out!

Come into this month with a clear and open mind.

Be willing to learn and to listen.

If there is one thing that I would like to do with my life, it is to stop others feeling the unnecessary anxieties that I experienced in the early stages of business. The comparisons, the intimidations, the worries.

This month is going to be raw!

HEALTHY IN MIND!

This month I want to encourage you to…

FIND YOUR RITUAL

Having a go-to, save my mind, chill me the fuck out and recharge my soul ritual, is something that I encourage you all to do. With the way business works in todays society, with the pressures that social media add to you to be a ‘boss babe’ and with the growing trend of entrepreneurship adding even more competition than ever, our poor minds are working overtime.

Making a sale, advertising your business, showing up on stories, paying that bill you owe, investing in new equipment at the same time, all the while watching Mary down the road on insta in her seemingly perfect ‘totally got my shit together’ life saying she’s made £10k in the last 30 seconds.

Breathe, just breathe.

Without self care, without looking after your mind first, this is going to get overwhelming in 0.2 seconds. And let’s face it, all overwhelm is good for is making us work 20 times slower that we want to because all our brain tabs are open at once and seriously malfunctioning!

I encourage you to find your ritual.

Mine is a Boujee Bath… more on that in a second. But even if its a walk, a run, reading a book, going for a swim, stretching, sitting in the garden, whatever it is for you, it is your tool! do not underestimate how powerful resetting your mind can be.

If I said to you… some days you will wake up confused, writers block, stressed out, anxious and unable to work productively, but there is one tool you can use, it may take you an hour, but it will set you up for the rest of your day so well that work will flow from you like a firkin river!… You’d surely as what time of magic potion I was pushing!

Read below for the potion… (apply to your chosen ritual as needed. I’d love to tell you all that I wake up at 5am and hit the gym hard to set up my day, but, I have the knees of a 90 year old. It’s not possible for me. We all have our issues, but we have to fire out what we can do!)

Boujee Bath; My Ritual

Whatever it is that you chose, its important that you take it seriously. i.e. sometimes I bath, sometimes I boujee bath. There is a huge difference in both how it works and how it makes me feel.

A boujee bath is what i have nicknamed my ritual because it makes me feel just that… boujee af! heres some tips for yours:

1- Plan. It’s not just ‘run a bath, grab your shampoo and jump in’. It’s, set up everything that ill possibly need for before and after.

2-Use the good stuff. I crack out all of my favourite products; my best hair mask, face mask, bubbles etc… if yours is a run it can be your fav trainers and workout wear. But it has to be the stuff that makes you feel your best. The ‘keep for best’ draw.

3- Involve your senses. Smell (spot my incense burning), Taste (I have my fav wine or a cuppa if its midday), Sound (in the pic I have a sound bowl that i find really calming and I also have spa music playing on the Alexa). Sight (I dim the lights, bring my book and leave my phone out of reach. In the picture you will also see one of my fav crystals. This is Tourmaline, incredible for protecting against negative energy). Touch (I’m in the bath, the water is hot and calming)

Your senses will be overloaded with every aspect of your ritual, making it difficult for you to feel any other way than totally immersed. Your brain acts on the signals its being given, its very matter of fact. If it thinks you’re in a spa, hun, its going to trigger your ‘chill the fuck out’ mode.

Most times I do this in the evening when I feel like I need to recover and reset from my day, but I’m also known to stop in the middle of a working from home day, have my bath ritual, and then get back to work. The way I see it, it takes me an hour rather than wastes my whole day.

As humans, we crave our comforts, we tag associations to things that historically have made us feel better. Its like chicken soup. You know that idea that ‘chicken soup’ (or whatever it is for you) makes you feel so much better when you’re ill? It doesn’t really, like chicken soup doesn’t contain antibodies that fight off the flu. But, what it does contain is the association that when you’ve been ill as a child you were given chicken soup, which made you feel cared for and comfortable. Your brain then tags that association. So we end up with chicken soup being a LEGITIMATE mood changer. This is the same for your ritual. We all need and deserve to have a go to that is purely for us to make us feel better. Somewhere we can forget the world exists outside of ourselves for a little while.
